Надпись была дважды приведена Латышевым, но без чтения (Латышев 1909, 47, № 9; IOSPE I2, 648). Судя по материалу, шрифту и особенно
акротерию (ср. V 7), перед нами остатки монументальной надписи, однако ее содержание восстановить можно лишь предположительно.
Латышев относил надпись к римскому времени, но круглые формы эпсилона и сигмы указывают скорее на ранневизантийское время, до конца VI в.

Latyshev published this inscription twice, but without offering a reading (1909, 47, № 9; IOSPE I2, 648). The material, the script and especially the acroterion
(cf. V 7) suggest that it is a fragment of a monumental inscription, but its contents can be suggested only hypothetically.
Latyshev dated this inscription to the Roman period, but the rounded shapes of epsilon and sigma point more to Early Byzantine times, before the end of the VIth century.
