Style écriture: Lapidary. Letters are of varying heights; lines are uneven. Alpha with a loop; delta, minuscule lambda and sigma; eta with inward bent verticals; И-shaped nu; pi with extended horizontal. Ligatures: omicron-upsilon, pi-rho; irregular and faulty accents

1–3. Формула уникальна: ср. формулы строительных надписей ἐν δυνάμει Χριστοῦ (Lefebvre 1907, № 587; Филы, 537 г.) и δυνάμει Χριστοῦ
(AEph 1917, 66; Никополь, 2 пол. VI в.). В первых публикациях в надписи 2 по недосмотру было пропущено в 2-й строке τοῦ.
3–4. Относительно термина «обновлен» см. комм. к V 176.
5. Простонародная форма τοῦτος встречается также в V 219.
По шрифту надпись очень близка к V 226. Так как камень использован вторично, местонахождение указанного в нем храма выяснить невозможно: он происходит либо из самого Херсона, либо же из его ближайшей округи. Судя по ряду моментов (уникальная формула «силой Господа нашего Иисуса Христа», чисто варварские имена строителей), мы имеем дело с памятником, отличным от основной эпиграфической традиции Херсона. При этом надпись носит явные черты упадка эпиграфического искусства: строки неровные, буквы разной высоты, неверно написанные (напр., И вм. N), неправильно расставлены ударения. Это хорошо согласуется с варварскими именами дедикантов.
